If there is a little bit of paint, allow it to dry solid. 3. If there is a larger amount of paint, mix in dirt, sand, or kitty litter into the paint and allow it to thicken. 4. Secure lid on the can and dispose of it in household waste. Note: Oil-based paints are hazardous waste and can be disposed of at household hazardous waste events. |

Trash | Plastic Film Products (bags, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, boat wrap, etc.) | The Calvert County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division recommends residents to reuse and reduce the usage of disposable plastic bags as the County’s current contractor can no longer recycle plastic film products (grocery bags, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, etc.) due to market changes. Residents may recycle plastic grocery bags at local stores offering plastic bag recycling. Plastic film products cannot be commingled with glass or plastic bottles and metal cans at convenience centers. No disposal fee for residents. |
