This board shall assist the animal shelter in Calvert County in serving the needs of our community, will advise the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) on matters such as; Shelter Policies & Operation, Five-Year Strategic Plan, Emergency Plan, Spay/Neuter Compliance, Feral Cats issues, Grants, Donations, Volunteers, and Periodic Reports to the BOCC.
There shall be seven members:
1 shall be a veterinarian, or vet technician with three or more years experience
2 shall be animal welfare organization members
3 citizens, where practicable, one from each election district
