The update process is a three-phase process consisting of Identifying Issues, Developing the Plan, and Adoption. The first phase of identifying issues includes staff preparation, community outreach, and public meetings. This phase is scheduled from Winter 2019/2020 through Fall 2020. There were delays due to COVID-19. The second phase includes preparing the draft plan, public meetings, and Planning Commission review. This phase is scheduled for Winter 2020/2021 through Summer 2021. The third phase includes the Planning Commission’s public hearing and approval recommendation, and the Board of County Commissioners’ review, public hearing, and adoption The third phase is scheduled for Fall 2021. We are currently in the second phase.
