Regarding a Budget Adjustment for American Rescue Plan Act

The Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County will hold a Public Hearing on September 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room, 175 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Maryland. The Public Hearing time, date, and location may be revised by announcement of an emergency, such as inclement weather, without further publication and may be confirmed on the County website, or calling any number listed below on the date of the Hearing. At the Hearing, the Board will consider and receive comments on a Budget Adjustment for America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) appropriations. Calvert County received $8,985,948.50 to help cover necessary expenditures and provide recovery efforts funding due to the public health emergency.

The meeting location will be confirmed with the publication of the Agenda prior to the hearing. At the time of publication, physical attendance is limited by Order of the Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals. Written comments will be made part of the record if received by close of business the day before the public hearing. This meeting will be streamed live on the County website.  Interested persons are urged to view the proposed Budget Adjustment before the hearing; it can be viewed on the County's website ( Hard copies will be available at the public libraries, or by contacting the Department of Finance & Budget at 410-535-1600, ext. 2210, The proposed Budget Adjustment may be substantively modified, revised, amended or otherwise changed based upon comments received at the public hearing.
