Picnic in the Parks

The Calvert County departments of Parks & Recreation and Economic Development have launched a cooperative effort called “Picnic in the Parks,” a program focused on supporting local businesses while enjoying all that our local parks have to offer.

Visitors to county parks will see banners for “Picnic in the Parks” with QR codes on them. By scanning the QR code with their phones, visitors will be able to utilize a map that lists restaurants in the area that offer take out or delivery. "Picnic in the Parks" banners can be found at Cove Point Park, Dunkirk District Park and Hallowing Point Park.

How to use the map:

Click on the link above to access the online Calvert County business map.
Once on the map, click on the magnifying glass at the left hand side of the page (on a computer) or on the pull up info screen (on a phone) and type in your location to zoom to where you are.
Peruse restaurants that are close to that location.
Click on the icon to see if a particular restaurant offers take-out or delivery, as well as business contact information.
