Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center relies on dedicated volunteers to support a wide range of tasks and events. Here are some regular volunteering opportunities where you can make a meaningful impact:

Welcome/Information Desk

As the first point of contact for visitors, our welcome desk volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the experience at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center. By answering questions and promoting our programs, you'll help orient visitors and make them feel welcome.

Gift Shop

We are always looking for volunteers to assist in our gift shop within the Arts Building. Volunteers work closely with the gift shop manager to provide exceptional service, ensuring a pleasant and engaging shopping experience for our visitors.

Stewardship Volunteer

Join us in caring for our beautiful grounds! Volunteers in this role help maintain the walking path, tend to the azaleas, and assist with new plantings. We provide training on tool use, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure a fulfilling and safe experience.

Art Programs

If you're passionate about the arts, we welcome volunteers to lead or assist with our diverse art programs, which serve children and adults of all ages and abilities. You don’t have to be an artist to help! We also seek high school students to serve as Art Camp Counselors.

Docent Program & Community Outreach

If you enjoy learning and sharing knowledge, consider joining our program by becoming a docent! Volunteers in this role develop tour themes for the garden’s visitors.

Individual Volunteer Projects

Do you have a special skill or interest you’d like to share? Whether it's writing, photography, research, marketing, construction, or landscaping, we encourage you to propose your own volunteer project and contribute your talents to the center.

Special Events

Volunteering at our special events is a time-honored tradition! Help us prepare for and support any of these popular events: Fairy House Festival, Mud Day, Insectival, Artsfest, Halloween, and Garden in Lights. Sign up early to be part of the fun!

VA volunteer drivers are needed to help veterans make their medical appointments.

Changes in the level of funding for the Beneficiary Travel program led the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to accept alternative options for transportation of eligible veterans seeking VA services. VTN was established to provide needed transportation for veterans seeking services from a VA facility and/or authorized facility. VTN guidelines permit volunteer participation in providing transportation to veterans using a volunteer’s privately-owned conveyance or a government-owned vehicle, including donated vehicles, county vehicles, DAV department (state) or chapter (local) vehicles, public transportation and contracted transportation.

If you would like further information regarding the Volunteer Transportation Network, you can complete and submit the form on the Volunteer or Donate page.  Someone from the local Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS) office will contact you with further information.
