High School Criminal Justice Program

Program Overview

In 1996 the Criminal Justice Program was established at one of the local high schools. By 2000 all of the local high schools were involved in the program. The Criminal Justice Program is for seniors who are interested in establishing a career in law enforcement. The Sheriff’s Office works cooperatively with the school system to teach students 1.5 hours per day.

Since its inception, numerous students have graduated from the program.
