Public Hearing Record Held Open until August 30, 2012
The Calvert County Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners held a joint public hearing on the Reorganized and Updated St. Leonard Town Center Master Plan on July 31, 2012, at the St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. The public was invited to submit comments on the plan. The public record was held open until August 30, 2012. The draft plan (PDF) was the subject of the hearing, and there was a slide presentation (PDF). The legal notice (PDF) is available. August 20, 2012 Town Hall Meeting
Commissioner Steven Weems hosted a meeting at the St. Leonard VFD to give the community an opportunity to meet and discuss the St. Leonard Town Center Master Plan Update in a town hall setting. Commissioner Weems and staff made a presentation on the Master Plan's history, the current status as a state-designated Priority Funding Area, and the future implications of the recently enacted state law, the Sustainable Growth and Agricultural Preservation Act of 2012 (Senate Bill 236).
