CAASA provides $4,000 in mini grants to community organizations to encourage and promote prevention education and outreach. CAASA’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce this year’s mini-grant recipients:
2021-2022 Grant Award Recipients
Beach Elementary School – Positive Behaviors Reward System – grant funds will be used to offer incentives and rewards in support of good decisions and positive behaviors demonstrated by students in grades PreK-5th grade.
Gray-Brown Productions - grant funds will be used to hose F.U.E.L Empowerment and TEA for FUEL events aimed at educating residents to the dangers of alcohol and other substance misuse and providing resource information for those in need of recovery and treatment services.
Patuxent and Appeal Elementary Campus – to assist with the purchase of supplies for the PAC Sensory Path. The sensory path will provide an opportunity for students to process their stress and learn healthy coping strategies to manage their feelings.
Windy Hill Elementary School - will use funds to provide a Calming Room that will promote social-emotional well-being and self registration for students when they are feeling frustrated or overwhelmed.
