Opioid Restitution Funds

About the Fund

The Opioid Restitution Fund was created to ensure that funding from national opioid settlements is used to help communities heal from the impact of the opioid crisis. In Maryland, state legislation passed in 2019 directs these funds to support prevention, treatment and recovery programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.

Here in Calvert County, these funds are used to strengthen local resources, expand access to services and support organizations working directly with individuals and families affected by opioid misuse. By investing in prevention, recovery and treatment, the fund helps build a healthier and stronger Calvert County for all.
